Inspirational Interiors – Monochrome
A minimalist colour palette of black and white can be balanced beautifully when it’s done right. Our Duke Armchair in black leather would look great paired with this contrasting Beat Light in Stout White from Tom Dixon. The Sideboard here would bring in a sleek touch with its clean lines and straight edges (Bo Concept) and finished off with this clashing navajo style rug from Knight Mills for the Goodhood Store.

Sir Terence Conran is to embark on a rollout of his Albion format, with bakery at the core of the offer
Albion has been a smash hit since it was opened in Shoreditch in London three years ago and played host to the BB75 networking event in 2012 – because of its in-house bakery.
Now, Conran has decided to open more sites under the name – after selling the controlling stake in his restaurant business.
The Times reported the entrepreneur believed there was mileage in what he had declared was a chain of “caffs”.
Conran will use the proceeds of his £50m sale of his stake in D&D London to fund the expansion of Albion. A second outlet at the NEO Bankside building on London’s Southbank is due to open shortly.
Conran said: “I don’t think anybody expected us to stand still following the sale of our stake in D&D London where our role had become that of investor rather than operator. That is not how we like to work, so the deal gave us the opportunity to invest further in the businesses we are closely involved in.”

Monday Morning Blues
The interior world has had a little shake up. Who’d have thought this time last year we’d all be drooling over the blues of blue interiors? Not us anyhow. Call it inspiration from the royal blue catwalk trends of last year; one thing is for sure it’s as vibrant as it comes but without being OTT refreshingly. In our opinion anyhow.
Here we’ve wiped away any notions of blue purely being associated with the colds, being depressing or even having a nautical theme in sight. There is so much more to this intriguing colour than everyone in first instance assumes. By using a scheme that is vibrant and decorative, it blows all the above connotations out of the window and brings blue back into the 21st century as an interior colour of choice. Aztec prints, geometric prints, bold and completely modern, we’re hooked left, right and centre. Swoon.
